This painting originated on-site at one of the most accessible views of Tenaya Peak and Half Dome in Yosemite National Park: Olmsted Point. The easy access allowed me to bring a giant piece of paper and paint until the light faded. Having the freedom to get into this larger painting and be present for the transitional glow that is a Yosemite sunset was the highlight of my trip and one that I'm happy to have memorialized in this painting.
